FINDING THE SNACKING SWEET SPOT

College pals Rip and Marco found a common bond in their entrepreneurial spirit and their taste for the sweeter things in life. After winning a college entrepreneur contest they created brith to what we know today as Rip Van. 

The path forward was grounded in a key insight: The snack world was stuck between tasty junk and edible cardboard. Changing the snacking world for the better - and finding that “sweet spot” between healthy and delicious, imagination and innovation, was a must. 

The brand needed to find a more youthful spirit, and become more whimsical and approachable.

We created a timeless, approachable and cross-generational look for maximum shelf impact. We also took a deep dive into shelf presence, a key part of the process. In testing, consumers overwhelmingly resonated with the new design. The uniform patterns stood out, and the design system was future-proofed for SKUs to come.
