BRAND & MOTION DESIGNER
DISORDER is an Apple Music playlist that showcased the best of alternative music, from old to new. This project was created through the course, Decoding Identities, led by Carlos Bocai and Julia B. Aguiar at Aprender Design.
Every rule, law, or system that seeks control sparks resistance and calls for change. Rebels are the trailblazers who speak their truth, pushing for a future built on peace and equality. They are the voices that challenge rigid structures and lead the way forward. DISORDER spotlights the artists, from then until now, that continue to uphold the essence and mission of the alternative movement.
The visual identity was built with the foundation that alternative music is non-conforming and avante-garde. The genre was born because creatives wanted to do things differently and resist the commercial practices of music. Alternative artists used their voices to challenge political dogma and address social issues which impacted more than just music—protests, visual art, fashion, etc. Visual culture surrounding the genre was radical and permeated culture in a large way.
DISORDER amplifies the voices challenge rigid structures and inspire change.
